Admin & Dispatch Position

About this role

Our Admin & Dispatch team plays an important role in keeping Dunstone Bros Plumbing & Roofing running smoothly. From coordinating daily schedules and supporting our plumbers in the field to helping customers and managing office administration, this is a varied role where organisation, communication and problem-solving make a real difference.

You'll help coordinate jobs, keep information up to date, manage competing priorities and make sure our field team has the information and support they need to get the job done.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates professionally and enjoys working at their own desk. You don't need to know the answers, but knowing how to find them is a valuable skill. You'll need to be comfortable switching between tasks, thinking on your feet and finding practical solutions when plans change.

Your responsibilties can include:

  • Daily scheduling & dispatch: Coordinating bookings, allocating jobs and keeping the schedule organised as priorities change throughout the day.
  • Customer service: Answering phone calls and emails, handling enquiries, booking jobs and keeping customers informed.
  • Supporting field staff: Helping plumbers prepare for jobs, coordinating materials and equipment, communicating schedule updates and resolving day-to-day issues.
  • Job management & invoicing: Maintaining accurate job records, preparing invoices, processing paperwork and following up outstanding accounts.
  • Office administration: Managing data entry, supplier invoices, processing supplier bills, documentation, filing and general office tasks.
  • Team coordination: Assisting with staff communication, work allocation, recruitment administration and internal processes.
  • Keeping things running smoothly: Identifying opportunities to improve procedures, solve problems and make everyday operations more efficient.

What We're Looking For

You'll suit this role if you're someone who:

  • Communicates clearly and professionally with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
  • Can manage competing priorities without losing sight of important tasks.
  • Is comfortable using computers and learning new software and systems.
  • Can think practically, take initiative and work through problems.
  • Enjoys working both independently, and as part of a team.
  • Understands the importance of accuracy, accountability and following through.
  • Previous administration, reception, scheduling, dispatch or customer service experience is an advantage. Experience in the plumbing, construction or trades industry is helpful, but we're also interested in people with transferable skills and a willingness to learn.
